Soon you will have forgotten all things: soon all things will have forgotten you.
– Marcus Aurelius
In the story of your country or your culture, your time is short and that oblivion comes soon. In the vast timescale of the planet Earth or the Universe, it is even shorter.
This means that the only time you can do things is now, while you’re here. You can give your best now to everyone, or take it with you to the grave and there embrace it forever.
This also means that your mistakes and your humiliations will be lost in the eternity in a moment. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Don’t fall in to the trap of trying to grasp “certainty” or be obsessed with “safety”.
There are really no such things.
As a footwear-company would put it: Just Do It!
